Who you're actually getting

Hi, I'm Kam.

Kamila Matczak

I've spent over fifteen years being the person leaders called when something landed on their desk and they needed help to handle. Law firms, financial services, retail, multi-site operations - businesses with 1600 people and more, and every people problem that comes with them. Poor performance. Never-ending sickness. People not doing the work they should. Dismissals that had to be watertight. Grievances that turned nasty. Managers who needed building up before they could have the conversation. Teams that needed rebuilding after someone had handled it badly.

I was good at it because I've always cared more about what works than what the textbook says. Usually that means looking past the problem in front of you: the lateness is childcare, the attitude is a manager who's never been managed. But if you get that wrong - you will run the wrong process, perfectly correctly, all the way to the wrong outcome.

Why

Why I started Cue HR

Big businesses have their HR teams. Small ones don't - and it isn't because they need it less. If anything, they need it more. When you've got twelve people, one difficult employee is eight percent of your workforce and most of your week. There's no HR department to absorb it, no policy that quite covers it, and no one to tell you whether the thing you're about to do is fine or a very expensive mistake. So you google it at eleven at night and hope.

The support that does exist tends to come in two shapes. There's the big outsourced provider - a helpline, a different advisor every time, a case reference, and a three-year contract. Or there's a solicitor at £300 an hour, who you'll only call once it's already gone wrong.

Neither of those is what you need. What you need is one person who knows your business, who you can call before it's serious, and who won't make you feel stupid for asking.

That's what this is.

How I work

How I work

  • 01

    One person, not a rota

You get me. I'll learn your business, remember your people, and know the history without you having to explain it again.

  • 02

    Straight answers

I'll tell you what to do, in plain English. If something's risky, I'll say so. If you're worrying about nothing, I'll say that too - and that's usually the more valuable call.

  • 03

    No meter on the conversation

The questions people don't ask because they feel too small are the ones that turn into problems. So asking is never counted, on any tier.

  • 04

    Remote, deliberately

Phone, WhatsApp, Zoom. No travel time, no day rates - which is a large part of why this costs what it does.

  • 05

I'll tell you when it's not me you need

Tribunal representation, TUPE, payroll, immigration. I'll say so early and point you at someone who does it properly.

Get in touch

Not sure you need me?

Call and tell me what's going on. I'll tell you what to do about it - and whether you need me at all.

No obligation, no pitch.
